The Bell Museum’s science and nature activity kits bring hands-on science learning to communities and families who may not typically have access to STEM education resources or experiences.
In the summer of 2023, 3M donated 10,000 rolls of tape to complete the kits, which were distributed by more than 50 community partners in the education, social service, and community sectors in the Twin Cities metro area and greater Minnesota. Each kit was provided at no cost, and included an activity booklet, and materials to complete each activity, along with step-by-step, illustrated instructions and suggestions for other resources and activities to extend and deepen learning. This year, the kits reached 20,000 primarily BIPOC children and caregivers. Learn more.
